The Little Light Project nonprofit shut down officially in 2015, but we keep the website up in order to share important information on how to help highly intuitive children.
Who Is Little Light?
At the Little Light Project (a 501c3 not-for-profit), we strive to be a voice for the kids. Specifically, we are helping families coping with Highly Sensitive Kids, many of whom are diagnosed with ADD, ADHD, Anxiety Disorder and Sensory Processing Disorder. Being a highly sensitive kid in our world is a tough road and many kids end up trying to numb their sensitivity to the world through drugs and alcohol. Many are also more prone to depression, due to their sensitive nature.
So what makes us different from other organizations out there?
We look at healing and help from all angles and welcome all perspectives. Many of us who volunteer at LLP are highly sensitive and childhood sex abuse survivors. We all agree that a balanced approach, combining Western, Eastern, and Spiritual philosophies is ultimately what led us to healing and balance in our own lives. You will find a mix of traditional psychologists and counselors on our Volunteer Staff alongside Intuitive Healers and Alternative Medicine Specialists.
We don't expect everyone to immediately buy into all viewpoints; however, we do believe that services and education that provide Western, Eastern, and Spiritual offerings should be available from the get go. Many folks come to us as a last resort, utilizing our spiritual counseling services and looking for answers outside of traditional models of care. We believe that if those services are offered alongside the traditional methods from the beginning of the journey, frustration is minimized and ultimately lives can be saved.
At LLP, we honor holistic healing by addressing the mind, the body, and the spirit.
